  • A strong G5 geomagnetic storm produces an incredible display of Northern Lights reaching the highest possible reading of KP 9 on the index. Sightings first came from Europe being seen in Switzerland and Germany and eventually reached as far south as Puerto Rico. A late burst of intense lights kicked in at 12:30am MT, seen here in Western Nebraska north of Alliance when I first spotted the re intensification and pulled over for a test shot
